The flight crew license is valid indefinitely, but the ratings on it have expiration dates. The validity of the rating shall be extended if it has not expired and the flight crew member has complied with the applicable requirements for the revalidation of the rating. Rating which have expired and the flight crew member has not complied with the applicable requirements for revalidation may be renewed by complying with the applicable requirements for renewal.

Process description

Submission of documents
Documents shall be submitted to demonstrate that the applicable requirements for the revalidation or renewal of the rating have been met. If necessary, complete the application form.
Conformity assessment
The compliance of the submitted documents with the applicable requirements is assessed.
entry in certificate
If the submitted documents meet the applicable requirements, an entry shall be made in the aircraft flight crew member certificate for the revalidation or renewal of the rating, indicating the new expiry dates.
