In order to be able to perform minor aircraft maintenance as well as to qualify for the certifying staff of major aircraft maintenance organisations, persons shall be required to obtain an aircraft maintenance personnel licence attesting their compliance with the required requirements. The scope of the privileges granted may vary, so an additional assessment is needed to include new types of aircraft, groups and additional licence categories in the licence.

Application for an aircraft maintenance personnel licence, extension or modification of the aircraft maintenance personnel licence.
conformity assessment
The conformity of the applicant with the required ratings and licence category, as well as any change in compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements, shall be evaluated
Issuance of a licence
Following the assessment of the applicant's compliance, an aircraft maintenance personnel licence/certificate shall be issued or amended accordingly.
