As of 1st January 2021, United Kingdom finish Brexit procedure and United Kingdom will be considered as third country. State Agency “Civil Aviation Agency” inform, that after 1st January there won’t be any big changes for passengers for travelling by plane to/from United Kingdom.

In Airport “Riga” for passengers won’t be any new procedures after Brexit. United Kingdom isn't Member State of Schengen area and all passengers should cross border control. From the point of view security check all requirements comes from the international aviation rules, which are the same for Latvia and United Kingdom both.

Latvian national airline airBaltic flights after Brexit will provide flights from Riga, Tallin and Vilnius as previous.

Meanwhile passengers should check the newest Latvian Government decisions about travel restrictions to/from United Kingdom to limit the spread Covid-19. By decision taken 20/12/2020 by Latvian Government, as of 20/12 /2020 2300 UTC until 01/01/2021 2159 UTC all passenger flights from/to UK with departure/arrival at Latvia Airports are banned.

Civil Aviation Agency recalls that after 1st January 2021 passengers flying to/from United Kingdom should use only passport like travel document.
